Land sells out fast at Morphettville, and we recently sat down with Vivek and Neha to chat about why they chose Morphettville for their recent land purchase.

Vivek and Neha are both Public servants in South Australia working within the International Education Sector. They were both born and raised in India and have been living in Adelaide for many years now. They are looking forward to calling Morphettville ‘home’ for many years to come.

Tell us why you decided to buy land and build in Morphettville.
We’d been looking for houses for close to 3 months, however, most did not suit our needs and a lot were overpriced, so we decided to buy land and build our own house. Additionally, we always wanted to live somewhere closer to the beach and not too far from the city, where we work, and Morphettville ticks all these boxes really well.

What makes Morphettville different from other projects?
We were very excited to see Morphettville’s suburb masterplan and we’re confident this suburb will continue to have a great lifestyle component. What makes this special is that we are not too far away from our friends and family.

Who are you building with, and why? 
We’re building our house with Sterling Homes. Sterling Homes is not a new player in the market and have been known in SA to build really great houses. Additionally, we are working with a very highly respected building consultant who has helped us in the process really well and is known in the market for building close to 500 homes. We strongly believe a lot depends on us as the family on how we wish to build the house and the builder only advises on our needs.

Tell us about the kind of home you are building.
We’re building a single storey home as we’re a small family at present. Being this is ourfirst home in Australia, we wish to keep it simple, yet with an open plan and comfortable to host our friends and families.

When do you hope to move in? 
We hope to move into our newly built house by early 2021.

What are you most looking forward to about your new home?
We are looking forward to a great backyard and a huge alfresco area as we love to host people. Also, we both love watching movies, so a home theatre would be well utilised too!

How did you find the buying process at Morphettville?
The buying process at Morphettville has been seamless. We worked closely with Tom McVann at Connekt, who was able to advise us on new land plans, availability and the prices.
